While mowing and watering your lawn are essential, there is so much more that goes into keeping your grass healthy. Controlling weed populations, for example, keeps your grass from having to compete for key nutrients and water. Similarly, applying fertilizer throughout the year ensures your lawn has the nutrients to grow and remain strong, come rain, shine, or an unexpected cold snap. Treating for pests and diseases is yet another way to sustain the health of your grass. Unfortunately, addressing each of these things can be time-consuming and many property owners overlook them.
This is where we come in. At Black Widow Pest Control & Turf Works, we are the experts to turn to for integrated lawn care in West Jordan, as well as throughout Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, and Tooele Counties. We offer weed and pest control and fertilization services that can sustain your lawn’s health and give you the greenest and most lush grass on the block. With our help, you do not have to worry about providing your lawn with the integrated care it needs to thrive—we will have it covered!
Our Signature Service
At Black Widow Pest Control & Turf Works, we are proud to offer our valuable signature service. What it includes are six services using only the highest-grade commercial products over six-week intervals between March and October.
What follows is a breakdown of how our signature service works:
We start by treating your lawn to control crabgrass. Additionally, we apply fertilizer, which provides the grass with nutrients that will allow it to thrive as the weather begins to get warmer in Utah.
For this treatment, we stop any weed populations in their tracks. Then, we apply another round of fertilizer to strengthen your lawn and help it grow.
We treat for any remaining weed populations and once again apply fertilizer. During this initial summer visit, we also watch for discoloration and other signs of disease or populations of grubs, chinch bugs, and other pests. The summer is when these issues are most prevalent.
During the warmest months of the year, we use a fertilizer solution that is designed to help your lawn withstand heat stress. We also continue to monitor for weed populations, signs of disease, and pests and perform necessary treatments.
We apply granular fertilizer, which assists seed germination and puts your lawn on a healthy path for the next spring. During this visit, we will also implement spot treatments for weeds.
During our final service, we prepare your lawn for the coming winter. We apply a nutrient-dense fertilizer that will provide your grass with everything it needs to make it through our famously cold and snowy winters in Utah.
